1992/93 YETI ARC AS

"Jimmy Deaton"

Story of the bike

I received this bike directly from Jimmy Deaton, who owned it since retiring the bike in April 1993.

Yeti didn't wanna build Jimmy a custom frame to his specs, so he almost didn't race for Yeti as they just wanted to give him a standard frame.

This bike won the 92' Kamikaze race, with the original race number mounted.

Jimmy raced it last in early 93' in Argentina and the Cactus Cup.

Stickers got constantly renewed, that's why they look different from the Kamikaze and sponsors changed for 93' so a few were removed from the frame.

The Tension Disc rear wheel was only mounted for the Kamikaze, as well as the 66 tooth chainring. Saddle and Seatpost also changed for 93'.

Manitou 1 fork got exchanged for the then new Manitou 2 fork in late 92'.

Rear end (seat and chainstays got replaced around late 92'.

Yeti riders just grabbed parts when they needed them, that's why they changed all the time and different colors were used as well.
