Story of the bike

I received this bike from our former Luxembourgish DH national champ JP Drucker (who's son is a pro at Bora Hansgrohe). He had bought it directly from the team manager Charlie Livermore at the 1997 World Championships in Chateau-d'Oex. Charlie used the bike to ride around at that time. When I recently asked Charlie, he said it was a Dowhillers XC bike, most likely Missy Giove, but he doesn't know for sure. 

Missy used to race a similar bike at the Hawai stage race or the Cactus Cup. The flags are representing all the riders nations. The same or a similar bike was also on display during WC events (see additional photos).

The Avid Arch Supreme brakes are special, as those have the plastic knob over the arch center adjusting screw and the levers are also matte black. I only found these type of brakes on team bikes as the knob was replaced with a metal one and the levers were black gloss on any other standard production brakes. 

The bike is mostly original, although some of the parts got replaced over the years, some came off other team bikes. 

The parts on race bikes always changed with riders preferences, race courses or when testing new prototypes.
