2000 VOLVO CANNONDALE CAAD4 "Tinker Juarez"

Story of the bike

This is one of Tinker's 2000 season CAAD4 race bikes. Production date is 12/1999 and he still choose a CAAD4 for that season as the CAAD5 and later that year the CAAD6 prototype didn't come with rim brake mounts.

It could have been his Olympic bike or Worlds bike in 2000 but so far there's no proof or sign of where and when he raced it and he had several identical bikes.

Later on, the rim brake mounts were removed and the threads were plugged, so this was probably one of the very first bikes that Tinker converted to disc brakes.

I don't think the fork and stem are the original ones, maybe the bike was ridden by another team member later on, maybe that also explains the disc brake conversion.

I'm trying to get more info about it.

More to follow.
